I visited the River Mithi recently. Managed to cross the river using the bridge that runs along the pipeline (pictured). Here are two photographs I took.
TREASURE HUNT: A ragpicker looks for recyclable waste on the banks of the River Mithi. Mithi which means ‘sweet’ is no more sweet but a black polluted sewer. A pile of silt and garbage lies on the sides to prevent flooding during the upcoming rains in the city.
THE CLEANERS: The giant orange crane that desilts the bottom of the river and the second, a mere mortal rummaging to make a living.
